i just installed my amp and 10 inch and now my car idles like it wants to die??? its a 600 watt amp and a 10 inch sub with a 4 gauge wire to power it. my car also seems slower, it modified and tuned. why is this happening anyone know please help.

 

I doubt it's solely the amp, since a 600w amp is not going to draw that much power (as compared to a bigger amp), but something in your wiring most likely is causing a major drain on your alternator.

I would check out electrical connections, as you might actually have a very small short somewhere, and it's causing the car's power to fluctuate.

 

Either what Craig said, or also check your grounding point. Make sure you've scraped off any paint and cleaned it so you've got bare metal. Then makes sure the connection is tightly secured.

 

nah dogg, im sure u blown atleast 3 fuses, check it, i had the same problem..lol
