I saw 2 people listed running carputers? Are there any more? I installed one in my last car.... a "mini truck" with a 15" touchscreen. It was a really sweet set up, but I could never totally get rid of engine noise. I was even running a 12v power supply. Did you guys overcome it? Not sure I'd want to redo one for the evo if there would still be engine noise since I have so much already invested in good sound.

 

Has no one else tried to put a computer in a car on here? Seems like it would be the perfect thing for a evo. Could just have the ECU hooked up to it all the time and get real time data.

i don't have engine noise, just screen noise due to a crappy unshielded VGA cable.

 

How did you overcome engine noise?

 

try to ground on the frame of ur car not on sheet metal . avoid pos + ( remote cable ) coming in contact with ur speaker and ground wire. also shield the pos+ wire . that will solve ur engine noise problem...
