my amp just came in today but im still missing some key components to make it run properly... first of all...I have evo with SSL...which wire behind the headunit can i tap in for remote turn on? and which 2 color wire do i tap to hook up my preamp outputs converter so i have a set of rca output to the amplifier
im running 2 rockford fosgate p3 with 1000rms total and powering it with 1400rms amp...i searched and couldn't find anything too clear for it...let me know...thanks!!

go to a stereo shop and tell them you need a hi to low converter, there like 30 bucks, it connects from your RCAs to speaker wires, i had to hook on up in my friends TC, as for the remote wire, fine a fuse that only turns on when the car is on(or wire) check for power in the wire you are hooking your remote wire to. make sure there is only power wen the car is on, and splice it and wrap them together an solder them or something... thats the way we installed my friend TC and his works like a charm....
i know that... im trying to find the wire behind to headunit which i can get signal to rca from..im looking for preamp signal...i still have my factory amp and i dont want to get a signal after the factory amp to speakers...im sure your friends TC didn't have a factory amp...Thanks anyway though...anyone know which color wires if there are any behind stock headunit that i can tap into for rca output in evo with ssl package??? i check the wire diagram on mitchell but they only show couple color wired but they aren't labeled either and the rest of the wire on the wiring diagram is just labeled as DIN....
ya i know.. i just didn't want to tap into speakers thats already amplified...... i got a hi lo converter and wired it to my rear speakers and everything work great.. i tapped into the clock acc for remote turn on... the only problem i have is it does this sometimes but not all the time.. .when i turn the car on without the radio on... the sub start pounding and buzzing like crazy...not sure why it does that... but i installed a switch between the remote turn on wire to turn it off when not in use but still can't figure out why it buzzs and pounds really loud at start up..ONLY when radio is OFF... i checked all wiring..tried tapping different speakers..tried different location for remote turn on...nothin works...
try to hook your remote wire to a fuse under the hood that only comes on when the car is on. my friend hooked his up to the battery and it did the same thing so the wire your hooked to has to have power all the time. try a diff wire or fuse
yes..the amp comes on only when car is on...i tried multiple wires...still same thing... i think its with the hi lo converter...it doesn't seem like really good quality stuff but its the only one i could find locally....
