+1 on the fuse setup other than you apparently already have a breaker. You should measure resistance across the contacts with a multimeter.

I have read so many different opinions between fuses and circuit breakers in the end it is all hooked up sounds and looks great. I measured a fused setup that I had it measured at .4 ohm the circuit breaker measured the same so they seem to have the same resistance.

You should try touching the leads of your meter together and see what they are alone. .4 ohms seems pretty high. 10 amps across that will drop 4 volts. I'm not trying to push the issue, just trying to help you out.

in case regular velcro isn't suitable (the fabric may hold moisture and thus mildew), maybe take a look at 3M "dual lock":

I used velcro and it has been fine I used the plastic to plastic really heavy duty stuff. So one month no issue and that was with a drive up to Pigeon Forge area.

I relocated mine to the rear in the trunk a pain in butt but it's worth it.

get a thin piece of steel or aluminum and make a bracket, you want a secure hold on that breaker.
