I think I have gremlins sneaky ones
So I think I may have the electrical gremlins but I am not sure, I have been careful not to feed them after midnight but I think I may have gotten some water on them and that is why I am here. I pulled the connectors and theusual culprit that should have corrosion was a little hard to remove but when it did release it was clean I put so dielectric grease in to prevent any moisture but didn't fix my problem. I have a left taillight out, the rear wiper is intermittent, and the dome lights don't come on. I have looked at the loom and it appears t be ok. I guess I am looking to see if anyone has any other ideas, I am somewhat tapped out. Tommorrow if I don't think of anything or have any other ideas I will test each wire and make sure there isn't a broken one. Thanks for the space.
Yeah but i have had problems with the local dealer. If it comes down to it I will bring it in but would prefer to handle it myself. I can't see it being anything more than usual corrosion but I think I need to step away for a minute and get a second opinion.
Do you have access to any wiring diagrams for it? I can see if I can get you one, but try looking at the wiring diagram and see what is related with all of those, especially if they share a common ground. My guess would be try to find the ground for those things. Let me know what you find.
That is what i was thinking but like I said I haven't had time to look I found some wiring diagrams but haven't gone through them yet. Hopefully after work tomorrow i will be able to start tracing wires and testing them. But I appreciate the input that would be nice if it was just a ground but nothing ever seems to work out like that.
The power for the rear turn signal, and wiper is a solid WHITE wire that plugs into the front of the fuse box. I left my car at work today so I can't go out and look at it.
I had the same issue, left rear signal would work intermittently, rear wiper would act funny at times etc. I did the harness thing first, no luck. Finally, I went and get a wiring schematic at work and found that is was simply that one wire that had wiggled itself loose, oushed it back in and I was done.
GL.
Just saw that you are local, if you need any help, PM me.

I would also check to make sure everything has good grounds. Its simple, and doesn't take much. Even if you never messed with any of it, from the factory it could be as simple as just some paint where its supposed to be grounded. Just a thought thinking out loud, check it out.
Look under your instrument panel to your I/P junction block. It's where all the fuses plug into. There's a connector at the very bottom right side of the junction block. This is a 15-pin connector and since all of your problem circuits get their power from the same half of this one connector, I'd be surprised if this connector isn't plugged in securely. First thing, just push in this connector and see if it solves the problem. If not, then pull the connector out of the junction block and see if you find anything funny with the terminals like corrosion. Please let me know if this helps or not.
Well it appears as of right now just to of been that white wire it was loose so just reconnected it better. hopefully this is the only problem and there is nothing else creating the problem i guess we will see. Thanks again for all the help and suggestions.
