HELP: DVD flip out in lower console

I need some help here. I am trying to see if anyone has a DVD flip out screen in the lower radio location under the heater/ac control panel.

If so do you have any pics of it?

I am trying to see if it is possible to install one in that section before I purchase one. I have a radio in it right now but I want to upgrade. This will help out a lot.

Thanks,

TK

it really depends on the deck since it has to clear the center console, which i doubt most will, unless they have a feature to extend out more.

im not sure what the model is, but there is a kenwood flip out, that im pretty sure I saw pictures of that clears the center consol. If you check it out in person u will see the extending arms give it quite a bit of adjust-ability.

I have the pioneer AVH-P5700 flip out DVD HU and it has the extension adjustment if you need it.
It will extend out about an inch if you need it to.

I have also wanted to put mine in the lower space and relocate my guages up top.
Just haven't had the time or patience to do it.
good luck TK..

Here ya go... this is an old setup.. it has since changed but you get the idea. It's an Alpine IVA-D900 7" flipout and an Alpine TME-580 5.6" screen above.

Hope this helps,

Nick

from what i can remember, that is lancer 02-03, or lancer oz edition.. but i know that is not a evo unless the user is using a lancer hvac/radio trim on the evo.

like everyone else says you would need to have the option for it to extend past normal settings to clear the HVAC controls
