Best radar detector?
Have had a V1 now for 3+ years now...love the arrows but X and K band go off all the time and they are false alarms...
Thinking of trying the Escort with GPS so I can minimize false alarms.

the 9500 series is sensitive enough to pick up threats behind you anyway, but the V1 will give you a bit more range
example: highway patrol rolling up on you from behind with moving radar
like i said if anyone is serious about reading about this stuff shoot me a pm for a link to a nice forum where members test radar detectors and jammers and post vids for everyone to see the truth

I think the Beltronics RX65 pro is the best IMO, i have used it for 4 years now. Never had a false alarm, great range, and not one ticket yet. Cops dont stand a chance with it, it was recommended to me by a cop.

i have the passport and love it - haven't had any issues with tickets (knock on wood - lol) since having it for over 2 years now. i have some friends that swear by the valentine, but i couldn't afford it so the passport was the next best thing.

V1 all the way. Don't forget that it can be customized. I turned off the X band. Probably going to turn off the K band as well.

Passport 9500ix for me. I drive about 50,000 miles a year, and it is by far the quietest radar detector I have owned. No false alarms while driving through the city, and you can update the latest red-light camera database right to the detector. They e-mail me once a week with updates. I had an 8500, and the false alarms were incredible. Yes the 8500 is sensitive, but it was going off so often that I just got sick of it. Going to the 9500 was the best thing I did.
i paid 500 for mine and i definitely recommend checking it out.
Escort 9500xi or Valentine 1. Expensive, but worth the money. Keep in mind, as long as it has saved you like twice, it already paid for itself. I personally like th Escort since i can gps speed traps that i'm aware of whether or not radar and lazer are being used.
