Aftermarket HD & Crossover

After reading the forums there was useful information about audio but I didnt see anything regarding crossover. I have an Evo 8 that came with the SSL package. I an looking to replace the H.U. but I wanted to know about crossover. What happens with the tweeters in the front with an aftermarket unit? I am not sure if I am staying the question correctly ... not to familiar with audio specs.

You should just be able to replace the head unit without doing anything. The tweeters shouldn't stop working, just make sure all the wires are connected in the new HU

on most aftermarket radios the remote wire will be blue with white. the blue wire is the power antenna. so if you hook up the blue to the remote wire on the car side harness your sound will shut off when you put in a cd
