Head unit problems

Head unit problems

to start off i tried looking through the forums and i couldnt find anything
my head unit got stole a while back and they ripped the harness out so all i have is wires left that are different lengths so i used a wiring diagram to wire my head unit but there is a problem the head unit wont save the settings that are set like if i put the time on the head unit it will go back to default when the car is turned off i have no idea what the problem might be can anyone help?

Check your accessory and your 12v wire. On the radio it should be the red and yellow wire, not sure what it is on the car, but those two wires might be mixed up.

hmm ill try it again but last time i tried it it didnt make a difference you think it can be a fuse?

It does make a difference which wire is hooked up to which power wire on the radio, the radio will still work even if the wires are reversed, but it just wont work properly.

The yellow wire on the radio is your constant wire, meaning it is also your memory wire.

The red wire is your switched accessory wire, so when you turn your key so it goes into accessory, it tells your radio to turn on.

It wouldn't be a fuse because if a fuse was out, your radio wouldn't even turn on at all.
