Aftermarket Head Unit & BT & Steering Audio Controls
As the thread states, a few questions for the Evos OEM Bluetooth and Steering wheel audio controls.
1. I've read on quite a few posts that the Factory Bluetooth can be wired into working with aftermarket head units. So the controls will work, but what about the auto muting of the audio during a call? and also what about the number display that the OEM head unit does? Do the aftermarket unit display the number of the incoming calls?
2. Do the steering wheel audio controls work with any aftermarket system? If yes, is it plug n play or do u have to fiddle around, splice wires and do it thru trial and error?
The reason I'm asking these is that I'm right now considering a Navi/Audio system and want to know what would be better off... the OEM MMCS, or an aftermarket unit?

They make adapters that will make the factory audio controls work with aftermarket decks (farily simple install, will have to splice a few wires).
I don't believe anyone is making an adptr that will work the the factory BT controls with an aftermarket deck. At least I haven't seen one out yet...

Yep, You have to buy two controllers.
One to keep the volume and track controllers.
One to keep the bluetooth buttons.
Its like 60 bucks for the volume/track controller
About 100 for the bluetooth one.
