Hello everyone,

I currently have a Lancer 2011 without the navigation system. I want a navigation headunit, I ask my local dealership how much the parts are and that would be around 4.5k (new).

This is way to much! Also, I looked on the used market and there's none. If I go with an aftermarket unit, I will loose the steering wheel control unless I get an adapter unit. But I would also loose the oem bluetooth.

I'm a computer geek and I don't mind playing with electronics. So here is my idea: install a Carputer.

I would probably use an arduino to adapt the steering wheel control to connect to the computer. From what I saw, the oem microphone is connected to a bluetooth module, would it be possible to redirect the microphone connection to go to the computer?

I'm still in the process to get my ideas on paper for this project, so any idea or suggestion are appreciated!
