I have the Alpine CDA-105, which I got for the red illumination. It is ipod compatible and mp3. I mainly hookup my thumb drive to it and works just fine. You can change the 6 buttons from either red or blue. Wish I had a pic to show you, the center console looks great, especially if you have the stereo relocated and the gauges up top.

I have the CDA-9885 which has both the red and blue buttons. My only complaint is the blue buttons are too bright at night; even when dimmed.

Does the CDA-9885 have a USB port on it like the CDA-105 has so i can just plug my ipod into it that way?

Alpine CDA-9886, and this one seems like it does not come in red display.. not sure

some of the newer kenwood units have adjustable illumination colors. Eclipse higherend radios do as well. Alpines nice ... very unfriendly user configuration though

The 9887 can be configured for multiple color options, including red with amber buttons to match the dash lights.

I have the Kenwood KVA-512 and you can change the colors of the buttons and screen. It matches the dash lights and my Defi's nicely. I can put up a pic if you like.

I am actually purchasing this one as soon as crutchfield gets them back in stock, you can customize the buttons and faceplate seperate from each other and has pretty nice features, there is also an upgraded version of this model too with more features if you want them.
