a cd is only 700 MB so 8GB sounds like a DVD dual layer thats why it won't read it. the stock radio won't read MP3's either so it must be an audio CD.

Dan628, what unit did you end up getting? I want to get an aftermarket head unit, but I would like to have everything still match (regarding the lights).

I went with the Eclipse MKII 7200 it lets you change colors and it has an amber color that matches the rest of the stock gauge colors.

hey, im running an alpine ida-x100 headunit, and its pretty beastly. cheapish, and has an aux port, as well as a USB port (which i have running into the glove box).

theres a few other models that are basically the same which can offer bluetooth and the like, but i thought it was overkill.

(and lights are reddish or blue, the red matches quite well)
