Python 990

I got the python 990 and it takes 1 tripple A batt and i have gone through 2 batts so far. it seems to eat them in like 1 hour. unless it has a sleep mode which i am doubting but dont know to much about it. i just found the user manual for it an it is huge and was wondering if anyone knew anything about this security system. thanks in advanced for help!

I don't think it's supposed to be doing that. I have a buddy that has this alarm and had to change the battery every month. So he just bought rechargeable batteries. Is the system Warrantied ? Maybe they can send you another transmitter.
