Turbo Timer and Python 990

Ok, so I currently have a Pyhton 990 alarm installed on my car and my installer wont use the Turbo Timer function due to the remote start has to be hooked up. So I am wondering how do I install a Turbo Timer along with my alarm? Do I just install the Timer and it will work since the remote stat isnt installed or will it still mess with the alarm when the car shuts off?

I know how people dont think tt are needed, well I do, so I just want to know how it has to be installed in order to work with my alarm. I am looking to get the HKS Type 1 with the install harness.

Thank You

you install the alarm "power on sensing" wire from the alarm (in DEI alarms, this is Red) to the Aux wire of the ignition.

This way when you pull your key, the alarm will see the ignition in an off state and you will be able to arm the alarm and lock the doors.

When the turbo timer shuts off, the alarm will see no change in state and will be no problem.

PS. How did the larger capacitor work with your lights dimming?

OK, wait, I re-read this....

Your turbo timer needs to be hooked up normal. Then you need to switch the red wire from the alarm from where it's currently hooked up to the aux wire in the ignition harness.

Chances are that your installer hooked up the wires near the fusebox in the left kick pannel. the red wire will need to be extended and run to the ignition switch harness where you install your turbo timer.

Be sure to install the turbo timer cut off wire to the E-brake when you install the turbo timer!
