Broke wire connector from Defi BF gauge
Broke wire connector from Defi BF gauge
Can anyone tell me where I can buy a wire connector that connects the 3 wires from a Defi BF gauge to the Defi Link Control Unit? It's the 3-wire connector that clips into the Control Unit, I'm sure it's a generic wire connector type thing, but I have no idea where to find this stuff online or otherwise.
Yah I think it's generic, it's a standard electrical quick connect type thing, but there are about a billion different types... I'll have to take a picture of it and post it online and bring it by Frys or Radioshack I guess...
Really? They look common enough from this pic... Anyways, I found these on the link I pasted below...they have replacement Defi accessories and other doodads .....

Could be this ...

or this...

Or something else ..... about 10-11 bucks...

I had that same problem, and I was able to just fix it.
Take a small blade and use it to pop the pins out of the plastic connector, strip some insulation back, and solder the wire to the connector again. It is a little hard to see cause it so small but I did it, and its free

I had this problem too, because I bought a used one and the connector had stopped holding in.
To fix it, I cut the connector off the end, stripped back the wiring and soldered them directly to the board. Then a few inches up from the Defi unit, I cut and stripped the wires, installing a 1/8" stereo plug on one side and a jack on the other side. (Those aren't the exact ones I used, but they give you an idea)
It's not the prettiest of solutions, but it works, can be disconnected if necessary, and easy to maintain/hide.
