seriouse fuse problem please help
ok so i have a 05 evo8.. anyway i was driving it home and the car just shut off on me.. tried to restart it cranked but no start. so i pushed it home,, yea that was fun.. anyway tried to figure out why it would start so as always first thing you do is check fuses right.so all interior fuses where good but under the hood fuse number 8 which is a 20 amp fuse was blown so i replaced it went to start the car but it didnt start.. so i thought it wasnt the fuse the got online to do research found similar problem which lead to crank and /or cam sensor.. well went back out and just did a rundown of the fuses again and number 8 was blown? so i replaced again and just turned the ignition on and then rechecked fuse.. blown.. so i put a 30amp fuse in and did the same thing turned the ignition on and checked again.. blown.. i cannot figure out why this fuse keeps blowing everytime i turned the ignition on and i dont know what all is on this fuse as i dont have a diagram for it..all it has is a picture of the engine.. but the thing is right before it blew i had a viper alarm installed by best buy... do you think it would overload that fuse?? or what are you guys thoughts??
BB could have certainly did something to cause this problem. Locate your alarm and track the power wire for it. It should be fused somewhere along the line. Pull the fuse, replace whatever fuses are blown under the hood and try to start. If it is still blowing fuses, the problem is elsewhere.
ok so i took it back to best buy it wasnt thier fault or the alarm but he did find that the 02 sensor wire had melted and was shorting out on the manifold.. he refused it and started it.. but then awhile later it blew again he think it might also have a problem with the secondary o2 sensor or a fuel pump ground... does anybody have ideas its the engine fuse panel fuse number 8
