Looking to do the same thing.....how did you end up mounting the amp, thanks for sharing this with the community.

 

Very good idea...now im thinking up some stuff over here!

 

I zip tied all the wires together, then tied them all around the amp. Then zip tied the amp to the bracket behind where the factory radio was. The amp is really light and has mounting holes in the end of it, I ran the zip ties to mount it through those mounting holes. Simple and I don't foresee having a problem with it like that.

BTW, plugged my new iphone into the car yesterday, wanted to make sure I could listen to my music through it, Pandora radio and the ipod both worked great and while I was listening to the music a call came in, hands free talking and the call comes over the radio. Pretty excellent set up.

 

I should still be able to use the oem gauge cluster with his setup right?

 

Going to attempt this in my 2004 RS, just ordered the amp from ebay, already had the harness, had iPhone and now I just need speakers.
