The ad says for auto transmission only. On my 2006 IX I have a DEI Viper 900 alarm with remote start. The top of the line alarms are the only ones that MAY offer remote start for manual transmission.
I believe compustar also offers remote start. Living in NJ, I love it.

I've used a viper remote start myself and I loved having it in the wintertime. Some Vipers also have turbo timers built into them as well

You can get one of course but good luck trying to find a shop to install it. There are safety hazards of auto start on manuals. Who knows, you may find someone out there who will.

Best buy does and a lot of other places will too. Some remot starts are made to work on manual transmission cars nowadays.

I got a crime guard i8301 (i think that is the model name) for 150 bucks at www.frys.com It includes remote start/turbo timer/two way paging alarm/lcd screen that shows why the alarm is sounding (glass break/motion sensor) and it is super sensitive.

I then had to take it to a non mainstream shop to have it installed, every company frys/bestbuy/cartoys ect said they would not do it on a manual for liability reasons

Yes it works fine with no problems, but I cant use it until i get a 2nd key.
You need a key that is chipped but NOT cut that gets hidden near the ignition, there is a little box that came with the kit.

I mainly use the turbo timer feature but I will get a key chipped soon.
