ok so i have a 9 mr and i bought a stock head unit to put back on the car but i plugged the big harness in and the antenna wire (round wire with a metal nipple) in but no sound! the front plate reads U091 and i think it was from a SSL so does it require an amp!? need help. it works but just no sound. theres also another place for a small harness with about 6 pins but i dont see any harnesses in the dash to plug in there

 

its a ssl head unit so do i need an amp for sound?

 

I have a stock HU I can sell you. No idea how you can get the SSL HU to work. If interested, shoot me a PM.

 

If the radio has a round "din" plug on the back it is an ssl radio. Its a black plug with 6-8 pins coming out of it. There is no easy way to make it work, you'd need a mitsubishi/infinity amo and a hefty bit of rewiring.
