alpine install 900bt

This is my ongoing attempt to install an alpine 900bt. Hope it helps.alpine install 900bt-alpine900bt-small-.jpg

yeah how did you do the arm rest, getting the ports installed cleanly.

Start with panel mount usbs and 3.5 mm stereo jack. I ordered mine from l-com but make sure you buy everything you need (3 ft is to short for cables) before committing to the $10+ shipping. Secret to the ports is having the items in hand and undersizing the cuts with dremel multimaster/rigid job max or any other vibrating cutter from the removed backside of the armrest cubby. Just file away the rest and tension fit. Drill thru (from the back) once tension fitted for #4 bolts (I think thats the right size but if the drill bit or bolt is to big for the panel mount hole; go smaller if they make them). Remember it's plastic; high speed, absolutely no pressure on the drill bit, remove burrs and melt. Make sure to have a small round file for the corners. Don't forget to order the "guide" cable for the imprint if doing this install. I got away with a straight, but a 90 degree composite cable would be ideal.
