Parking lights not turning on???

Well i noticed when i let the car sit for a week, and turn the lights on, the parking lights do not turn on. I gave a gentle tap to both headlights and the parking lights turned on. It was originally doing it with the driver side, now is doing with both headlights. Once i tap the headlight the parking lights will turn on and work fine, but when let it sit for a week or so they forget to come on LOL.

Any idea guys? Is it bad grounding or the bulbs are going bad?

They could be on their way out. One of my was doing the same. Changed the bulb and it worked every time. It's like 3 bucks so even if that doesn't fix it, not a big deal to try.

It could be that the electrical connection isn't rock solid anymore... perhaps try throwing some conductivity gel on there. Either way though... you're either going to have to tap them everytime, or dig them out of there. I'll be doing the same this weekend or next...

I had the same issue with one of my hvac bulbs. I would tap it and it would come on. It was a bulb issue. I changed it and it was fixed.
