JDM HVAC control

Hello all,

I was looking on japanparts.com and came across a jdm version of our hvac. I was looking at a few different write ups on how to mod my hvac and relocate it to the lower cubby, but, if everything will plug into the jdm unit, and it will work properly, then id rather go with it. heres the part i found for reference

I was considering this myself, looks a hell of a lot easier. I do remember seeing someone with this in the interior thread. It appears to be just plug and play, but I would also like to know from someone who has installed one.

Deffinately not a plug and play setup. From what i read about it before, there's a lot of wiring that would have to happen with this since it is a servo driven system.

You'd need to find a way to get the plug that plugs into the back of it wired up. I'm an aviation electronics tech for the Navy and I'm stumped as to how it would be done, but I'm sure it could be. I'd need to see wiring diagrams and the such, but again just by looking at it I couldn't tell ya how it'd need to be done and thats just the wiring...

It can be done, and it has been done before. But you basically need he whole HVAC system from the JDM vehicle. You will need all the servo's, relays, wiring and all the little extra **** to make it work. If you have the time and money to track these down, Go for it. But i minus well build my own(which I did) for about 100 bucks. Now I'm a happy owner of a dual din!
