Evo VIII Headlight Problem
Evo VIII Headlight Problem
As some of you have seen I bought an evo viii that had a blown turbo by the time I got home. Well my problems didnt end with the motor. I decided while the car is in the shop I would take my headlights and strip the tint off them. I got all the tint off and started looking at the wiring of the HIDs, I'm not sure of tech terms but it seems as if both lights are suppose to have a "brain box" on the bottom of each light. Well one of mine is missing and the wires are spliced and taped together. What are my options on fixing this problem? Does anyone sell a replacement "brain box" or is my only choice forking out $1600 for new lights? Any help is appreciated
I'll post a picture of what's going on once I get out of class, but the lights were working when I got the car but I'm not sure if he was using the aftermarket HID ballast to take place of the OE one but all the turn signal/running light wires were spliced into the ballast. Any one know of a reputable place that would have the replacement parts? I've searched a little but no luck
