Battery Kill Switch Setup

Hey as I have been prepping my car for a few shootouts this summer/fall i remember that when a battery is relocated to the trunk a kill switch is required. I was unable to find any info on how to run the wires to the switch and do I need to run a seperate wire to kill the alternator? Thanks!

Does it require it to be externally mounted?

All you need to do is take the positive lead. Connect it to one end of the switch, then get extra thick gauge wire(not sure what gauge)

And hook that to the positive terminal on the battery. There are many places that sell that switch

Alternator will keep the car running... Track officials will test it (if they have a clue) need to kill alt power as well. You can do this remotely with a relay.
