The brain is inside the car no doubt. Its the batt back-up siren that has given me heartaches.

The strange thing is before it recently had to be replaced the shop here in Hayward said they pointed the thing "down".
The current one installed in San Jose I think was oriented the same as how the Hayward shop did it.

I didn't put that in my evo because over time, that siren may be useless. I've seen quite a few of them go bad. When I mean it goes bad, the siren volume will just not be there and it'll sound broken, the battery would still hard a charge though. I didn't want to risk that.

I'd skip the viper. You can get so many other "brains" that work much better, I don't know how much you want to spend, there are alot of choices off. But I'd have a Cobb map for anti theft, & just go to multiple alarm spots see what they offer.
