dimmer switch wtf?

anybody here had dimmer problems?
the speedometer lights are dimmed, but dimmer switch and instrument panel are on bright. when i put it on dim, speedometer goes bright and everything else dims... i used another dimmer switch from another lancer and still doing it.. anybody had this problem before? (replaced speedometer bulbs with led about 5 months ago)
