EVO 8 reverse camera

Hi all,

I got a pioneer flip out screen in my car and Im looking at adding a rear view reversing camera.

Just wondering has anyone tried the ebay cameras http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mitsubish...3dc47a2&_uhb=1

or if anyone can recommend a good cheap camera,

thanks all!

Cheap cameras are exactly that...cheap.

We used the Audiovox ACA200W at the shop I worked at for a really long time with good success, and they can be found for around ~$50 online. Cheaper than that and you're asking for failure, or a really crappy video signal.

Just my two cents though. Others may think differently, but all the cheap ones customers brought to my shop, we called boomerangs because you get them out the door and they come right back (with issues).

That is basically the same unit that JoeyB has been running for about 6 months now without issue.

I also picked up a camera like that but have yet to install the beast.

I was thinking of doing mine with the license plate (which I think is a bit obtrusive) or just in the rear window and dual purpose as a second dashcam.

I prefer my reversing camera to be as stealthy as possible without drilling and damaging my JDM bumper, and so got my garage to have it mounted on a small bit of plastic card which was then taped against the rear bumper in the small gap between the license plate lights. Its pointed a little low but I got used to it.
