reverse trigger wire

So I finally installed a double din head unit and a rear view camera. Problem is that I don't know where to source the reverse trigger wire to switch on the video for the rear view camera when I put it in reverse.. Anyone ever installed one of these on a Evo 9? I assumed it would be straight forward, I didn't know I needed some type of reverse trigger wire from the car.
Any help is very appreciated!!!

Should be a brown wire in the driver's side kick panel harness that goes to the rear of the car.

You should post this in the audio forum, but your getting good feedback. Also consider putting a pushbutton in parallel with your reverse lights so you can look behind you instead of thru a huge spoiler.

This is correct, it's a brown wire in the driver's kick pannel and it's positive switched. (it goes hot when reverse is engaged)

Correct, but make sure you diode isolate it from the brown reverse light, or every time you press that button, your reverse lights would come on.
