evo 9 headlight adjust all by itself

evo 9 headlight adjust all by itself

hey guys first off I got a 06 evo 9 SE...recently my right headlight has decided to adjust itself, you can hear the leveler motor going crazy, up and down none stop. left head light is perfectly fine...anybody else have the same problem or know how to fix it. thanks in advance

wish I could be more help to you, but im somewhat in a similar boat...mine just plain stopped working. when I turn the wheel on my dash, nothing happens. all wires, plugs and fuses involved with the headlights are fine...im at a complete loss myself...

My right headlight does the exact same. if i put it on the setting that points it up the highest it never stops but if i put it 1 lower it stops adjusting itself normally, its like it can't quite pull itself all the way up.

I have the same problem with my 8, but its the driver side headlight. If you put it all the way up, the headlight constantly aims, one lower than that and it stays level. The only way I could get it to stop was to cycle it thru all of the positions and go back to all the way up, and it would stop moving then, but if I turned the headlights on and off it would readjust and do it all over again.

You can try my "Solution", which was to cycle it through the levels, go back up, and unplug the leveler behind the kick panel when its all the way up. No more moving headlights and I very rarely ever need to adjust them so it works for me.
