Replacing 10" SSL Sub

My 10" sub blew yesterday, so I need a new one. The problem is, they are very hard to find. Can I directly replace the sub with another 10" aftermarket one, or would that not work? I am using a Clarion Headunit with the Mitah/Metra adapters, with the stock amp.

Thanks - Jake

What impedance is the stock SSL sub? How much volume does the stock subbox provide? How much depth have we got to play with? Whats your budget for a new sub? Im sure there will be aftermarket options out there after you answer those questions.
