Evo 9 RS.. USDM to JDM headlights

Hi guys

I'm honestly damn bad when it comes to electronics.. I accidentally purchased the VII JDM headlight (flat black housing) but I love the look of them.

The car previously had the Evo 9 USDM headlights (aftermarket installed). It is not the stock ballast, no fogs, just high beams and low beams.

I went to go insert the low beam.. and it did not fit. It had tabs on it, i proceeded to Dremel the tabs off and put it in... I used some moldable sealant for a temporary solution. The high beam was the same, 3 tabs.. wouldn't fit. I once again took 1 of the tabs off and inserted it into the housing. I used moldable putty yet again. The fog light I had no housing for.. covered it entirely with moldable putty lol.

I do NOT want my headlights like this.. one of them seems significantly lower also. I'm worried about the sealing of the headlights.

I would like to be able to install the proper low beams and high beams. I've searched this forum high and low but i'm not coming up with much.

I'm worried about the auto-leveling screwing up the headlight because I don't have the capability on the RS.

From what i've found I need 9006 fogs, high beam 9005 and low beam d2's.

If there's a write up that someone could direct me to, that'd be fantastic. Or if anyone has any experience with this.. please lol. getting desperate.

thanks!

There are different connectors for NON-HID and HID headlights. You are going to have to splice connectors for HID into your chassis side NON-HID harness.

I currently have HID's on the car. They are not the ones that fit properly. I also don't know what inserts I need for the housing.. i need to know what ballasts/harnesses I need to fit the JDM headlights not the USDM
