Unhappy evo 8 no connection to dlc

so heres the deal we swapped the engine and everything from a car that was rolled this last winter into modern automotive performances evo 8 roller....now we ran into an issue i do not know if its because of the scan tool we are using causing the issue or not( obd2 bluetooth reader) but we have the car running...kindof it needs a tune from switching out a few things its super rich but if we cannot connect to the ecm from the dlc then we cant get info from or to the tcm.. has anyone ran into anything like this or know if its just my reader thats causing issues? any insight on the topic is appreciated just trying to figure it out so we can finally drive it

Have you a detailed pic of the bluetooth reader? There are MANY crappy ones out there.
If you want to be certain to have a working part get a Tactrix cable.

I could tell you that from about 6 bluetooth readers I got from ebay only 1 could read the Evo's ODB-II output.
