Next question... I got the harness for Mitsu, and looking at the harness provided - the harness for the Mitsu just has loose wire ends - am I supposed to tie/solder these to the harness that the headunit provided? I can provide pics this afternoon

yah thats what its for. Red to red, yellow to yellow etc. I would suggest either crimping with butt connectors or soldering them together. There might be some wires that are on one harness that arent on the other. For Example blue with a white stripe will be an amp turn on wire.

got it - here is what i have right now - not really a color to color match up though... the scosche has descriptions on the back but the headunit's aren't really labeled as clearly.. not sure what the black piece that connects to the headunits is for unless they just sent me a generic one. here's a pic:

:::

buddy seems to understand these and is working on soldering them together. i guess it is a little more complicated cuz this car used to have an aftermarket system (pioneer) plus some boston amps or crossovers and used to have a subwoofer that i took out long ago. anyway, he said the colors match up and it's pretty straightforward so hopefully he takes care of that and it's just plug n play after that!

it's good. haven't had a whole lot of time to play around it though, finished late last night. it's not as fast as the fastest smartphones/tablets of today but for a car headunit it does great. my pioneer from 2009 or so would take ages to do anything. search that + antutu in youtube and there's a guy who runs through a variety of apps and functions. i need to test the gps, see how fast it picks it up, etc. but haven't gotten a chance to do much of anything yet.

after the research i did though, it's definitely one of the best options for android users out there. yes it's cheap and chinese made etc, but it runs quick and the wifi range is actually decent, i have a detached garaged and it'll pick up signal from the house, and obviously has google play etc. now to see if i can run solo storm/track attack off of it...

thanks for all your help again!!

FM sounds okay, but I'm not really an audiophile. To someone who cared, it probably sounds like crap. That said, I haven't really tried it out/hunted for HD FM stations

no instructions sadly, had to figure it out with the help of friends who do electrical work and Biggiesacks & evom. If you're talking about the actual relocation of the HVAC itself, we just physically moved it to the bottom spot.

This is one I'm looking at. Anyone have any experience with a decent one they want to share, confirmed to work with Mitsu/Evo as far as powering up and all that goes?

Hey props came out awesome! I did mine a year back but have way more gap around the unit... How you manage to close the gap? My unit didn't come with a trim piece and even if it didn't it wouldn't fit...

Looks legit! You're making me wish I went this route instead of my Kenwood Excelon!
