need help with ground

so today i noticed the ground wire by the cam position sensor is melted. like it got to hot. i also burnt up a coil on my cop kit a few weeks ago. im not sure if these two are related or not. maybe the bad ground wire caused the coil to go. but aging im not sure if the two are related

Well your going to have to trace that ground up the harness and replace it. At the same time inspecting the surrounding wires for damage.
