I heard it mainly helps with the stereo and overall electronics / electrical stability. The rumor is it adds 10 ponies, but I seriously doubt it.

waste of money if you ask me. Some of those grounding kits are 100 dollars.

You know, I've heard the same thing. But I can't make the connection (no pun intended) between the electrical ground and HP. Personally, I've got bigger fish to fry like exhaust and intake for starters.

less electrical "loss" mean it makes the car more efficent. great performance. easy example.
say you have a battery connected to 2 copper wire. the output of the batter is 3v. but the loss of power threw the crappy coper wires it ends up 2.5v. so what ever your powering is not working at full voltage. you put gold wires or whatever the output is say 2.95. better conductivity. blah blah blah. anyone want to finish or get the idea?

You don't need an exhaust untill after you do a few engine mods. You won't see much more performance with just the exhaust. I would Start with a cold air intake. Then maybe the ECU piggyback and exhaust at the same time. Then you'll see the diffrence.

They other thing that a ground kit does is it smoothes out your idle. Because of the poor conductivity like Rocketman was saying the stock setup has voltage spikes in it. Hence the idle fluctuation.

Only a twit would pay 100 bucks for it. Go get yourself some 4ga wire and DIY. Or for those who don't know how. Go to any audio install shop and have them do it. Shouldn't cost you more then 50 bucks and thats WITH install.

These kits have been shown to give 3-5fwhp on Evos on the dyno (no lie). Mitsu even shows a simple dyno chart on their Ralliart wire kit, but I think it shows a 6hp gain (if I remember right).

I got the instructions for installing the mitsu ground kit from dmeluzio22. thx man! To fab a kit identical to the Mitsu kit, they have, from the battery ground, the 2 wires, one bolting to the frae, one to a bolt on the block under the black plasticish engine cover on the right side. from that point, to nother similar bolt in the center of the block between the 2nd and 3rd spark plug. from there, to a bolt on the left side of the block pretty deep down. near what looks like a motor mount in the pics. then from there to a bolt on the back of the frame on the left side just above te big fat wiring harness and the AC compressor feed tube.

when i get some time, ill try to get some measurments on how long these pieces need to be.

cheerz!
