Alternator will not charge

I'm having an intermittent charging issue. The battery is new. The alternator is new (old one tested bad). I installed the new alternator and have driven it a few times and had what I thought was no issues. No battery light like when the alt was previously bad. But, the car will drive then slowly the battery dies the car misses and eventually just shuts down. I used another battery to get it home, again ran it down and died right as I pulled it in the garage. Charged it and started the car, used a multimeter and sure enough no charging voltage shows. It has a cluster. Its a 2005 mr, I removed the under climate gauges and reused the wiring for my wideband, oil pressure and boost gauges. I tested to see if there is voltage at the wire from the alt (like maybe the fuse blew) but nothing is there but battery voltage. Please help, I'm getting overly agitated with this car. Any suggestions help, thank you!

check the harness that plugs into the alternator. Sounds like it isn't getting a control signal.
