Converting 04 RS to factory HID w/fogs

I have an 04 RR RS and I hit a deer a couple weeks ago. So...I guess I had to get some new parts. I stumbled on a pair of chrome JDM headlights for a decent price. I've searched quite a bit but couldn't find what I'm looking for. My question is has anybody converted an RS to HID by replacing the headlight harness and fuse box? I've seen threads about using donor parts to add to the current set up, but I figured it'd be easier to just swap the harness being I already have the front end and the driver side fender off. Would the HID harness, fog light switch, and leveler switch (if I choose to use it) be the only things I need. I have the headlights already, I have the harness and fog light switch coming also.

Bump...Just wondering what else may need to be done.

For anyone that was wondering the same. I have changed the left front harness, plugged in the HID headlights and everything works for me.

I've been wanting to try this on my IX GSR.

So you just got the harness from a HID car, swapped it and it was plug and play from there?

example of harness:

then acquire a set of OEM HID headlights and ta-da?

About how long did the process take?

Did you hook up the headlight level?

I bought a front harness just like the one you linked. Honestly it was the exact same seller that I bought mine from too. My harness was from an 03 VIII HID car. Going into my 04 VIII RS it was just plug and play except for having to swap the fog light plug (because I also got a good deal on JDM HIDs). I have hooked up the fog light switch and everything works there. I have a leveling switch on the way to also see if it works, it should all the wiring is there.

Pulled the front left fender off because I hit a deer, pulled the old harness out completely from inside under the dash and kick panel area, the under-hood fuse box, wiring goes to both horns, fan relay, and all the way to the passenger headlight. I'm not too sure how long it took honestly, I had the bumper, old headlights, front driver fender already off. So..after that maybe a couple hours.

Update:

I have now installed the headlight leveling switch and confirmed that the switch does work.

I'm bumping this because I noticed the younger folks don't like to search or do their own homework. Really only post you need to read on converting non-HID to HID.
