No Brake Lights. Need Help!

Good evening everyone!

I searched and searched and used as much info as i could on here but still have issues with my brake lights on my evo 9.

I replaced my brake light switch, checked fuses, checked and replaced bulbs, and still dont have brake lights. They worked about 4 days ago then the bulbs blew and i simply replaced all 3 (tail lights and 3rd brake light).

*I had to rewire a few wires in the drivers fender well because of the tire rubbing a few off. But the wires were for the wipers qnd windshield washer fluid.

Im stumped. Im not the best at electrical but know my basics.

Any and all help is GREATLY appreciate!

Thanks.

See gremlin sticky thread in this section. Check connectors for corrosion, hard solder as needed

I checked my connectors and did not spot any gremlins lerking. But i will hard-solder the wires and see if it helps at all.

Thank you so much!

Except for the transformers (coils) on the spark plugs, nothing on the car runs at more than battery voltage. If the generator was faulty and decided to produce 20 volts it would blow more than the tail lights. So, I don't think all the bulbs in the tail lights could blow (did you test them with an ohm meter?) without other bad things happening to the electrical system of the vehicle.

The 3rd brake light bulb was blown, and one of each filament strands inside each tail light bulb was burnt. Is it possible that when i was rewiring the wires in the fender-well that possibly 2 wires touched and shorted? If so, would that cause blown bulbs?

Again, im not the best at electric so please bare with me!

Thank you!

The only things I can think of is jump starting the car with the jumper cables reversed or using a welder without a good close by ground.

if they all blew at the same time it almost sounds like there is a short or fuse blown. Re-check the wires that you moved around, there could be a bad ground.
I'm not the best with the electrical system though.

Yeah i ended up being q short somewhere before the junction block. Like you said, probably when i was moving the wires around something shorted. Rewired it and now theyre working

Thanks for the help everyone!
