Circuit Breaker - Battery Relocate

Hey guys,

Have searched and searched and searched but cannot seem to come up with a solid answer. I am assuming its based on the car but I want to get your opinion. 2.3 Stroker build, Taylor Battery relocate to the back of the car. Did not come with an inline fuse so I would like to add one. Planning on adding a circuit breaker in-line, here lies the question: 150amp circuit breaker enough? Or do I need to go to a 200amp circuit breaker?. This will be located within 18" of the battery in the trunk.

Let me know! If I missed a blatant thread, please share it as I have been wrong before.

Thank you

150amp is enough. This circuit breaker is really only meant to protect against a short in the power cable between the engine bay and trunk, the fuses under the hood are the ones actually providing protection to the devices being powered. As long as your breaker is of equal or greater size to the largest fuse under the hood, you will be fine.

Perfect. Thank you! Here's the next question, run an inline ANL fuse of 150 or greater or run the circuit breaker?

I have a fuse on mine, but I can't see any issues with running a breaker. The circuit breaker has the added bonus of being a local disconnect for the battery so if you're working on the car, you just have to flip the switch instead of taking the time to disconnect the terminals.

What amperage fuse are you running? Just in an ANL fuse holder as well, right?

I may get some hate for using this.
Instead of having to replace the fuse every time it blows, I went ahead and bought a circuit breaker off of eBay.

Ive been running it with my battery relocation kit for 6 months now and have nothing to negative to say about it. it make it easier as a quick disconnect if I'm doing something in the engine bay

No hate! I have seen so many different options, I just wanted to make sure 150amp would be enough. I have a circuit breaker sitting in my garage.
