Double Din Head Unit Recommendations

here is the sony xav100 installed in my car.. I chose it because of how sleek it looks. Looks kinda oem to me. In the picture I have the mic mounted in the ac vent but recently moved it over to the steering column for looks. Apple carplay and android auto are awesome, I have no need for CD's anymore. usb plug is routed under the center console to my arm rest so its out of the way

I dont have Android, but CarPlay works great. I assume Android Auto will be just as fast on it.

These double dins look good, but i want a screen that fills the entire space of the double din area, & not have the space on the edges... anyone found a unit that would tick those boxes so to speak?

Hate to bring this back from the dead but I too am going to be swapping to the double din and wanted to know what the perfect fitment would be for these kits?

I use the Pioneer AVH-3300NEX, good bang for your money with car play and all the goodies.
