Instrument cluster

Ok, so when i bought my evo almost 3 years ago. There was no working check engine light. It never bothered me but recently I took it out. Got the cel to work(swapped bulbs around) but then i had no oil light. It was also missing a few bulbs. So now the car is parked for the winter. I bought new bulbs and replaced all blown ones and missing ones. All bulbs are in and good. But I have no oil light or door ajar light. Everything else seems to be working fine. What can cause these 2 light not to work?

Originally I thought that the bad bulbs or missing ones was the cause(not able to complete the circuit) but replacing all bulbs didn't help. I'm at a loss. I've quadruple looked over every bulb and don't see any bad ones.

The oil light is turned on by the oil pressure switch in the filter housing completing the circuit to ground. If it is not coming on either you don't have power at the bulb, the bulb is open circuit, or the circuit to earth is broken. Use a volt/ammeter on the bulb tracks on the cluster PCB to make sure you have +12 V at the bulb with the key on engine off. Next check continuity from the other side of the bulb on the cluster PCB to the oil pressure sensor. If this is good then pull the oil pressure sensor and test with your meter. The wiring route to earth from bulb to sensor rarely goes bad unless you have had the dash out or hacked the wiring. It's more likely to be the oil pressure sensor. I had one fail open at 200k miles with the same symptoms.

The door open light is driven from the ETACS-ECU which is behind the fuse panel under the left side of the dash. The bulb gets power when the ETACS ECU senses a current through the dome lighting circuit. Tracing the circuit is more complicated. Anytime a door is open the dome light should be on. If the dome light is on, check that you have +12V at the door light bulb contact on the cluster PCB. If not check the wiring continuity from the bulb, back to the yellow wire in the grey plug at the ETACS unit. If the wiring is good then it is probably a bad ETACS unit.

Wiring diagrams attached for reference.

Being my car is a MR. I hit some roadkill a while back and it ripped off the wire to the drain plug (oil temp) i don't recall my oil light not working when that happened. But it is possible if thats part of the circuit. But I'm pretty sure it was working and only stopped working when i moved bulbs around to get my cel to work.

I will check and see if my oil pressure switch came disconnected. I believe thats on the back of the block tho. As for the one on the oil filter housing, thats no longer there, I've replaced it with a sensor for a aem oil pressure gauge
