I did a basic halogen -> HID retrofit on a Subaru Forester before and got totally lost while reading your walkthrough (in a good way). Did not realize there was so much more than could be done with LEDs, circuit boards, etc. Way beyond my current skill level and will need to read it again when I get a chance. Great job!

The headlights turned out great... Really like the dark gunmetal shroud colour versus the typical flat black that everyone else does
It has a perfect amount of dark appearance with the gunmetal.
Just the projector retrofit alone is a major upgrade... This will be such an improvement over the **** poor factory output.
I noticed there are no dusk/night shots yet? I'm really eager to see the LED turn signals and the rest of the lights combined. It was always something I want to do (i.e.: proper board with high quality LED's for turn signals). Due to my lack of knowledge in this department, I ended up not being able to do that part and used XSB strips + drop-in 7440 LED bulb instead.

Work of art! Never did I think I'd see what the Evo 7/8/9s headlights would look like if it were released today. These are truly a work of art. Would like to see a video of them in action.
Very nice work. I took the easy way and just replaced all bulbs with LEDs, front parking lights, front and rear turn signals, amber LED for the fog lights, high beams, reverse lights, 3rd brake light, rear brake lights, trunk light and dome lights. I even changed the ignition key light to a red LED.. Everything is much brighter than stock and looks good.

I use Freecad to design 3d printed parts, and AutoCAD2000 (that I've had for 20+ years) for PCB design. PCBs are drawn by hand without a plugin of any type. I do have a heat-press which is basically the type of tool you use to put a printed logo on a t-shirt, which makes image transfer so much better. Well spent $350 that I wish I bought years ago when I started making PCBs.
Awesome work, man!
I'm in the process of swapping in the Morimoto D2S 5.0 projectors in my DD. Are these the same projectors you used in your low beams for the evo? If so, any chance in hell you could sell me a bracket that you made to bolt these in?
Thanks!

I think they are version 5.0. I would be glad to help you but I don't want to take money for it. I will send you a PM with my number if you would like to discuss. There are some things I learned that slowed me down on this and you can learn from my experiences.
