i agree with umiami... stick with the stock flywheel.. more solid feel all around... and it's not that heavy. i got the rps clutch, which is pretty much the same thing as act.. i also did the restrictor removal and stainless steel braided clutch line.. THIS is how the car should have came from the factory! it's super easy to drive in traffic (in bumper to bumper you dont have to rev the engine, just slowly ease the pedal up and the car has a super smooth engagement).
rps or act all the way!

another evo driver down here has the no-name.he has a couple of lauches on it(arouen 5 so far).everything is great so far with it.he had an act before, and burnt the hell out of it around 30 or so passes at the track.both are good

I had an ACT 2600 with my Fidanza on MY TSI AWD, it did rev faster in Neutral, I did not notice any big gain, IDK. It was Harder to launch, the line between "bog" and THWACK!!!!!!!!! was a CU.NTs hair in width. Parrellel parking? *****, I had to slip the shizzy out of it and creep it foward and back, but I did get used too it. The MAIN reason I did not like it is because as FAST as the Rpms rose. they dropped even faster and, so you had to be a fast shifter, going up hills required more gas not to mention STARTING up a hill was a challenge, but yeah I got used to it and became seemless after practice.

Ok, thats cool. Rpms rise as fast as they fall, is what I have experienced. The Evo Flywheel is NOT that heavy, what 15 pounds while the fidanza runs 9 pounds. And in my use of one on a heavy clamping load, boggin is WAY easier, launches, good ones anyway are more tricky as there is less enertia, whic you NEED to build boost, load builds boost and a heavier flywheel will aid in that, either way is kewl, you cant go wrong its nothing crazy either way.
If you want complete stock like driveability then keep the stock flywheel, the Fidanza does make the car a little more sensitive so if you cry about stuff like that then don't get it. The revs do not drop in between shifts, I understand the logic behind this completely but unless you take a stupid amount of time inbetween gears the revs just don't drop, in this aspect I see no difference than stock. The flywheel actually makes it more of a joy when shifting to me. Up hill stop and go does suck, but I can never remember the stock set up being particularly suited for this either. My advise is to get someone with a Fidanza flywheel in their evo to let you take it for a spin and make up your own mind. I love the gains from mine.

Well said.
I believe personaly experienced info is all that should be posted in the 1st place.
Even if bubba shared his f250, with a lighten flywheel experience......that isnt a good example either.

My clutch slipped for the first time last night Ive got a lil over 17k miles and figure its going to be time to replace it soon I was planning on putting in the ACT clutch because I want something that can handle more than my stock one but I don't need to drop 1500 bucks for a twin disk when I'm never going to have more than 350-400 lb of torque. I put a racing clutch in my last car and install was only 250.... you said it cost 500 bucks to get this one put in the Evo??? I hope thats not standard I was hoping to do short shift, clutch and SS clutch line for 1000 bucks.
I heard act makes good clutches. my friends here in orlando tuned the fastest EVO(10sec) in Puerto Rico and the car blew the TC three times. Went through stock clutch, EXedy Twin Disk and i forgot the other one. They put in the ACT and the TC is still holding!!
