How do I get my Turbo to hold consistent boost levels?

I heard that the 2003 EVO holds boost at 19psi and levels down to 16psi at 5500RPMs. How do I make it stay consistent throughout the powerband? Will it damage my engine?

Get a mbc, this seems to help alot with tapering issues. Youll probably damage your turbo if you go anywhere past 22 psi but should be safe anywhere below that.

I suggest a Greddy Profec-B Spec 1. Holds boost amazing and is user friendly. Also, a reflash would be good.
