Evo MR tranny rebuild...Who to go to?

Who should I go to when I get my MR for a complete tranny rebuild... Im not taking any chances just gonna get all this done now so I dont need to worry about it later when I start modding.

I was told to go to Buschur and that they do really good work, I am just shopping around right now for potential prospects .

Any help would be appreciated

First thing i would do is drive the car , Unless you are gonna do some heavy clutch dumping at 5000 rpm or racing at the track , i would enjoy my car first

Tranny can handle quite a bit its the diff you have to worry about. John Sheppard is one of the best dsm tranny rebuilders there is. Call him and discuss the the strength of the tranny, he will most likely tell you not to worry about it.

I have heard that the 6mt doesn't like power. I have also heard that AYC/ACD does'nt like power either.

Any truth to my hearsay?

Thanks!

Oh, why in the hell would you want to rebuild the transmission as a first modification, even before it is broken?

There is an old idiom that goes: "If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT!"

DSM specialists are great with American made Mitsubishi's. But don't be fooled into thinking they have the expertise it takes to service a Japanese made Mitsubishi. Its been my experience that they will take your money but they won't be much use in rebuilding your transaxle.

Your tranny will be fine. The only thing i'd be concerned about from the get-go, if you're going to be adding a ton of power, is the clutch. Other than that, rebuilding a BRAND NEW tranny would be a waste of money and time, but if you're that set on it talk to Keith or Mark at turbotrix.

No im not gonna go out and get it done right as I buy the car, even though for some reason I typed that (probably thought everyone would assume what I was thinking, it was late lol), Im gonna break it in and wait atleast a few months, probably close to 6, before I start modding...But I am gonna be putting in more then 500 horsepower most likely so I am doing research. Not to mention I will have ALL of my parts and mods at my house ready and waiting...So. I just figured it would be easier this way to get the tranny done first, followed by engine, then mods. I just like the idea of having a bullet proof car kthnx . Look I may not know much about rebuilding nor how to Install alot of this stuff, but that is why I try to do as much searching and researching as I can, as well as "Friendly" opinions...Unlike mr. Picture boy up there.

I also heard that the Evo MR 6speed tranny had alot of problems and the like, so I can use all the info anyone can give me.

Sry it was late last night when I typed this was tired as ****. I already have my clutch otw as we speak so.
