Magnaflow with BR TB?

Can someone that is running a BR exhaust and magnaflow muffler please tell me what model of magnaflow it is (racing or street and then the number)? I am thinking about getting the magnaflow muffler to make the system quieter but I want to find the best price. I thought it was a racing muffler but I checked magnaflow's website and the smallest racing diameter they list is 3.5"- BR is a 3" system. Does this just mean it fits over the 3" BR piping? I'm thinking I'm going to get a ticket running catless and the BR muffler. Thanks for your help.

bump- I know somebody here has it. I think Buschur wanted $225 for it-seemed a little pricey. Let me know if I'm wrong on this.

The BR system is straight 3". I donno about the sound catless, though. With a cat, BR with the Magnaflow is nice and quiet, perfect for people like me who don't want to hear the exhaust all the time. It flows the same as the BR muffler, and weighs like 3lbs. more. Without a cat, I'd expect it'd get louder, though your guess is as good as mine, coz I have no plans to try it. If it's any consolation, running without a cat only has a minor benefit, after tuning, so if you find you can't live with the sound, you won't be missing out too much.

Could you please tell me what kind of magnaflow it is so I can buy one at a good price? I think I will put it on and if it's way too loud I will order the magnaflow. But like I said $225 seems really expensive so I'd like to shop around. Thanks for your help.

Don't forget that the Magnaflow that Buschur sells is ready to hang. It has the slip fit end, the polished tip and hanger bracket. I'm not sure if the prices you'd be comparing to will have this work already done.

I might be wrong on this, but I don't think the muffler uses hangers. The tip does but to my knowledge the tip and the catback slip into the muffler. So the muffler itself doesn't need a hanger. Let me know if I am wrong. Part of the problem is that I am not near the exhaust to take it apart and look at it. Take a look at this picture of the exhaus to see what I mean:

So the magnaflow muffler comes with it's own polished tip then? I was under the impression the muffler itself slipped onto the tip and the pipe from the catback. Still, how can it be that much of a price hike just to weld on one hanger?

Okay so someone told me that the tip does come with the magnaflow. So I guess BR welds their own tip onto it along with the hanger, which means I'd have to go through them. Thanks for the help.

I thought about buying my own muffler and getting the regular buschir exhaust, but its well worth themoney to go with the magnaflow buschur if you are wanting a magnaflow muffler.

I has the hangers welded, and it also has the tip, which has a custom bend made to fit your bumper cutout. I think the magnaflow is only $50 more than the regular exhaust whixh isl ess than you will find from anywhere else.

Thanks. I agree totally- as a matter of fact I think the magnaflow option is only $20 more than the BR muffler route. I am in kind of a unique situation because I bought a BR catback used from an EvoM member and it came with the BR muffler. So I just need the magnaflow. Luckily, I may have found someone who wants to get rid of their magnaflow for the BR catback so it's all good.

Are you going to run a cat? I can say from personal experience that running the Maganoflow without a cat is still pretty loud, especially at wide open throttle. With an upgraded turbo at WOT, the Magnaflow with no cat sounds like a sport bike. It sounds really great but it's not what I'd call quiet.

I still have to save up for the helix HF cat, but I do intend to run a cat. I have the flange to bolt on the stock cat but I also have the test pipe for the time being so I can do either of those. Once I get the cash I'll spring for the HF cat. I know it may not be quiet, but atleast it will be legal and keep me from drawing too much attention to myself. I also don't want to **** off the neighbors too much, so I think it will be a good idea .
