difference between HKS exhausts

whats the difference between these three HKS cat back exhausts - power, size, sound??:

1) HKS Hi-Power exhaust ~$480.00
2) HKS 30th anniversary exhaust ~$580.00
3) HKS Carbon TI exhaust ~$695.00

also, is there much power increase with just a catback exhaust compared to a full turbo back wiht highflow cat? anyone's warranty's been voided due to just a catback or turboback exhaust?

all help would be appreciated.

thank you.

In my experience catback exhausts produce little if any horsepower gains. I'd be surprised if you had any issues with your warranty being voided as a result of a catback exhaust.

A good cat-back should yield you about 10whp.

The difference in those HKS catbacks are in the materials. They're all pretty much the same exhaust except the regular Hi-Power uses "treated" steel or something like that, and that will rust over time. The 30th Anniv. uses all stainless steel. The Carbon Ti is stainless steel piping with a carbon fiber shell around the can and a titanium tip. As far as power and noise, not any different. I think I saw in some exhaust article the HKS Hi power made like 14 whp. A catback alone wouldn't compare, in most cases, to a full turbo-back exhaust in the power and noise categories.

I don't think they could void a warranty over a catback. If you're concerned, ask a service person that works at your local dealer. If it's a problem, just replace the stock catback before you go to the dealer, it doesn't take long at all.

One last tip, I think I know where you're getting those HKS prices from, make sure you call them before you order to see if they have the HKS in stock. If you order, and they don't, you could wait a while......
