RMR vs Greddy Exhaust

RMR High Flow Exhaust System - $525.00

Greddy Evolution Style Catback Exhaust -$460.00

The Greddy is a cat-back system, and it is less than the RMR? Is the RMR a much better muffler? (Higher price and no cat-back)

And even more...

The Magnaflow is around $279 and is non-cat-back

Exactly my question...

Why pay more for the RMR and then have to pay to get it welded to cat piping, when its all done and cheaper on Greddy form?

So why don't you just get the Greddy cat-back?

I am, but I was wondering if the RMR is so much better or not. (To explain the cost)

The RMR doesn't get welded on. You bolt it on. It meets the stock piping at just before the axle.

You'd be a fool not to get the GReddy if those are the only two you're between (imo). I'll say it again though, the best bang for the buck is a custom cat-back with your choice of piping, muffler and tip at less than most bolt on cat-backs.

Oh, and since we have about 40 billion exhaust threads (most of which have very little content in them, this one included, i'm putting this in the newbie forum).

I spoke to a mitsu dealer in ny, they said they could do the RMR exhaust for $350, install it and still keep my warrantee. so i figure maybe $400 total. But i really want to know, which is better. the dealership was trying to tell me that with a cat-back torque is lost. That the axel-back is the one that is on the Lancer Rally car. It is the most powerful and best sounding without compromising torque. I was wondering if this was a selling pitch. any info please let me know.

cat back will get you more torque and with the greddy when i had it on my car with rrm headers and test pipe i had most torque outta 3 setups rrm headers test pipe stock muffler , rrm headers test pipe and rrm axle back, and then the above i had the most gain with little 2 no losss with greddy catback test pipe and headers in torque

very interesting, so it wouldn't be worth it to do a rrm axle back? And i should go for just the greddy. I just want to do exhaust im not looking to do the headers and the test pipe is a possibilty. So would stock headers, and the greddy exhaust be better than the axle back?
