Ultimate Street Evo!!!

This is what I want. I only care about PUMP GAS NUMBERS! I Have been doing research for months now to try to get there. I want to put it all in one place.

I have Buschur Stage 4 with 272 cams, AEM EMS, and the BR500 turbo kit. I made 353awhp and 312awtq on 93 pump gas. I went with this to have a good street/strip set up but i now want something different. I want the widest power band and the best pump numbers. I don't want to spend more than $10,000 more to get there. Please help.

Turbo:
I could go with the br440 to have better spool and better pump gas numbers right? I also have been looking at the AMS 2871 and 3071 kits. Which should i get? I could get the buschur 440 and spend money on something else like a stroker kit.

Bottom End:
2.4 block or stroker kit? better spool and more tq right?

Head:
Does this help on pump? How much?

Intake Manifold:
I hear that it helps peak but hurts low end. Any thoughts?

Any other suggestions welcome.

I just want to say that i know i could have many other cars for this amount of money but there is nothing that i would rather have i just want to make it better.

Thanks
Mike

I think it might help if you tell us what your goals are. Is there a certain hp you're trying to make or do you just want more then what you have with better streetability? I'm interested in the AMS kits you're looking at as well, with BB centers for better spool up. BR will do a ball bearing center as well with the 440 and 580 I THINK, you might want to check on his webpage forums to be sure though, it was a recent topic over there. With a 10k price cap, you have a LOT of options, heck if you wanted you could just dump a Tomei built 4G63 and go from there and already have more power. I've also been seeing a lot of talk on different boards about alcohol/water injection and seeing some GREAT numbers on the dyno. People with the stroker kits are saying they just pull like crazy, that might be an idea to go with, there are several options in 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 kits. Like I said, with that kinda money to play with you have a thousand different directions you could go to get what you want, I think once you've narrowed down your goals a little more you can get a solid game plan going from there. Keep the board updated as I'm sure like you and I (shooting for 400whp with the fastest spool possible), there are a number of people who want to make some serious power on good ol' pump gas!

I know that the AEM EMS puts down good #'s but you may want to look into the HKS stand alone. Ball bearing turbo is a must... Whatever way you go, you'll have to throw alot of fuel at the car

Let me try to understand this........ You have Buschur Stage 4 with 272 cams, AEM EMS, and the BR500 turbo kit. And your only dynoing 353hp/312tq with 94 oct.???? This is hard to believe since I don't have as much upgrades as you and I dyno'd 320+awhp/323+awtq on 91 oct. 332+awhp/335+awhtq with out the cat converter. You should be pretty close to 450awhp/tq with your upgrades. I would personally go with the AMS or Turbotrix kit if I was going to upgrade the turbo.

450awhp I wish. My numbers are no joke I dyno tuned the car at Quantum Racing and that is all it would make on pump I am sure i makes good numbers on race but i don't care about race gas anymore. I would love to see some Ams kit pump dynos.

Personally I would focus on getting your current setup working better. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement. Adding more parts doesn't always make you faster.

black evil evo,
Im from Columbus running an AMS GT35R and just dynoed at Quantum today. Put down 370 awhp on pump gas and 21 lbs of boost. My mods are similar to yours.

Thanks Jason that makes me feel a little better about my numbers. How does it spool? RPM tq peak? Can you post a dyno chart? My friend Chris has a fully built AMS car and he is very happy. He made 426 awhp on pump with the GT35R. I just want 400awhp and the best possible spool.

I'm putting down 419awhp/346trq on RnR's smallest turbokit, the t3/t4 50 trim with the AEM EMS. Pump gas, 21 psi, AWD dynojet. Full boost around 4400ish?

If anything, my car is a true definition of a street setup. Good spooling turbo, nice flat trq, and big pump numbers.

I get full boost at 4250 RPM. I forget what peak torque was but will look at the graph tomorrow.
Chris's car has a built motor with headwork which makes a big difference in his pump gas numbers.
Im starting to think that the dyno Quantum uses reads alot lower than a dynojet. If there was a dynojet close I would go test that theory.

Mike, like Geovannie mentioned earlier, you should really get your setup dialed in before deciding on swapping parts. You're not even close to running at your setup's full potential. Who's tuning your car?

I am done with the BR500 it just doesn't spool fast enough for me. I do auto x some times. The tune is good the turbo just doesn't make power on pump. I guess i could do a stroker and keep the turbo but i dont know if i would be happy then either.

I'd just go w/ a stroker or 2.4L if you want to auto-x. If you want to make huge power on a 2.0L motor, you're going to end up w/ a lot of lag. I say keep the turbo kit and run it w/ the larger motor.

Contact RnR. Here is a post I found of theirs:

"We have a kit that will do 400+whp at 19-20 psi and 3400-3500 full boost.

I believe it could only be done with our GT L2R kit. Which is a GT30R dual ball bearing turbo and equal length manifold.

PM if you need prices or questions on the kit"

Try them or Shiv (Vishnu). I think they both offer setups that will give you good power and quicker spool. I'm sure there are plenty of other good setups offered by other tuners as well though

head work

Buschur got 20whp and 21wtq out of their head. Is this common? Should this be on my mod list? Anyone have before and after dynos of intake manifolds?
